SXSW + StyleX

On March 16 I attended StyleX (pronounced "style by") and got to meet an bunch of up and coming brands doing sustainable things. One of those brands was Half United. Half United donates half of each purchase to feed people and end hunger in the USA, Liberia, Fiji, and Cambodia. Their jewellery is really cute and colourful, and it is made from recycled bullets and made here in the US.
Another brand I discovered was bucketfeet, they give back to the artist that design the shoes and to children in developing and underdeveloped countries. They give back to the arts and sports, things I feel everyone especially children should have to grow and develop.
Walleska ecochicc was one of the more interesting brands I discovered, everything they sold is fair trade made and out of recycled aluminium tabs, like the ones on soda cans. Their stuff was really cute.

Finally, we have Bullets2Bandges whose products are made in America, made out of recycled material, and when you make a purchase they donate part of it to the Travis Manion Foundation. The Travis Manion Foundation helps the families of fallen soldiers.
Check back in a couple of days for an special post...
