The Thin Green Line: Bush Princess vs Celine

Welcome to part 2 of the Thin Green Line series, this week I'll be featuring two products that are very similar, but are not as close of a match as last weeks. I'm currently {+ have been for awhile} wanting a Celine luggage bag, but I can't fiscally and ethically, purchase one. There is not a lot of information about the manufacturing process of Celine bags, which is one of the reasons why I am hesitant about purchasing one. It does not help that there is a plethora of news coming out about sweatshops for designer goods that are made in Italy, by the brands themselves {discussed in last weeks post}. So, I was ecstatic when I found about Bush Princess, the maker of the bag battling the infamous Celine bag {No. 2} is the Barrier bag from Bush Princess {No.1}, in gray {it comes in 2 other colors}. Bush Princess bags are fairly made by hand in Kenya, and with leather from local Kenyan tribes in an environmentally friendly. Not to mention the brass works are made by hand in Kenya with recycled metals. If that hasn't convinced you yet the price tag for the Barrier is €319.00 {$435} compared to the $2k plus price tag of the Celine. It's obvious who the real winner here is...
